Founder/Principal

Dr. Ross is the Founder of Connected Health Strategies, a consultancy focused on driving market research, clinical guidance, strategy consulting and business development for the company’s digital healthcare clients. He is a veteran of the healthcare and health information technology industries with over 25 years of experience serving in a variety of roles spanning clinical care and executive leadership of managed care organizations, integrated delivery systems, solutions vendors and outcomes research firms.

Before starting Connected Health Strategies, Dr. Ross was the Chief Medical Officer at RxAnte, an industry leader in medication adherence predictive analytics, clinical decision support and targeted interventions. He also served as Chief Medical Officer of NaviNet, the nation’s leading healthcare collaboration network connecting over 40 health plans and 60% of the nation’s physician practices, representing 450,000 clinical and administrative healthcare professionals.

Prior to joining NaviNet, Dr. Ross served as Chief Medical Officer and Senior Vice President of Business Development at Prematics, a leading provider of mobile care management solutions. In this role, he was responsible for helping health plan customers optimally leverage Prematics’ e-prescribing based messaging platform to improve communications with providers and members. Dr. Ross previously served as Vice President of Healthcare at Varolii Corp, Vice President of Strategic Business at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia and as Chief Executive Officer of Advanced Concepts Institute, a USP applied research group focused on the adoption, utilization and impact of health information technology. Previous experience also includes being the Co-Founder and Chief Operations Officer of Holisticos which focused its efforts around building credentialed complementary and alternative medicine provider networks for large payer organizations.

A pediatrician by training, Dr. Ross managed one of the most successful pediatric practices in Washington, D.C., and for three years was named one of the Top Doctors of Washington in peer reviews for Washingtonian magazine. After leaving clinical practice, he served as Vice President of Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer at MetLife HealthCare Network of South Florida Inc., where he managed a 4,000-member provider organization with more than 100,000 covered lives. Dr. Ross also served as Executive Director of Scottish Rite Pediatric Partners, a full-service MSO that provided practice management services to more than 100 pediatricians associated with the Scottish Rite Childrens Medical Center in Atlanta.

Dr. Ross received his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Medicine from George Washington University, and his Masters in Healthcare Administration from the Medical College of Virginia. He received his certification by the American Board of Pediatrics.

Managing Partner

Cheryl Toth is a healthcare/health tech consultant, content marketer, and creative problem solver. She brings 23 years of physician practice management, technology product development, user training, and startup experience to her projects.

Cheryl has domain expertise in physician office management, physician practice technology, revenue cycle, business communications, content development, and digital product management. She uses this combination of knowledge to deliver product marketing services, develop and manage beta programs, and create content marketing strategies for clients. She has developed and delivered training programs for thousands of physicians and healthcare business users. She has published more than 500 articles in leading healthcare industry journals and is the developer of online training programs, white papers, digital information products, and book chapters.

Cheryl was a senior consultant with physician practice management firm KarenZupko & Associates for 15 years and served as HealthLoop’s early stage VP Product & Operations. She held management and executive roles at technology services company Medical Alliances/iConecto, including VP Digital Media & Content.

Cheryl has a BS, Music from Western Michigan University and an MBA, Finance from Loyola University Chicago. She received her professional coaching training from Erickson College, and taught Business Communication at Scottsdale Community College as adjunct faculty.
